YAMAHA XSR700 (2016-2025) FULL STAINLESS EXHAUST SYSTEM

Replacing the stock exhaust with a Kelpi full stainless XSR700 system is one of the most impactful upgrades you can make. Designed to enhance the natural tone of Yamaha’s 270-degree CP2 engine, our system unlocks a deeper, throatier exhaust note while improving overall flow and shaving off over 4.5kg of weight. That means sharper throttle response, more usable midrange, and a serious improvement to the bike’s power-to-weight ratio.

Whether you're chasing a retro-inspired look or just want something that doesn’t sound like a sewing machine, our modular system allows you to choose your preferred sound and style. With multiple muffler options and select Cerakote finishes available, you're able to tailor the visual and tonal identity of your XSR700 with precision.

Performance & Sound

Each system brings the CP2’s character to life with a richer tone that finally does the engine justice. The system includes our standard perforated baffle (pre-installed), with the option to also deploy our end-cap baffle for more subdued output on long rides or early commutes. Both baffles can be used independently of each other, or be combined (i.e. one in the inlet; one in the outlet) to bring noise levels down to near-stock.

Baffle Setup Decibel Reading (Idle) Decibel Reading (3,000RPM)
No baffles 97 108
Inlet baffle (included) 93.5 104.5
End-cap baffle (included) 87 100
Inlet and end-cap baffle 86.5 97

    Construction & Weight

Built from TIG-welded 304 stainless steel, each component is designed for longevity and performance. Mufflers feature multi-layer packing (perforated tubing, stainless mesh, fibreglass, and cotton gauze) to manage tone and minimise fatigue.

    • Full Shorty System: 3.07kg
    • Full Flanker System: 2.93kg
    • Factory Exhaust System: 7.7kg

Select models are also available in black or bronze Cerakote for increased corrosion resistance and a stealthier finish.

    Fitment & Installation

    • Compatible with all 2016–2025 Yamaha XSR700 models
    • Includes: headers, merge collector, muffler, all fasteners, springs, brackets, and a standard baffle insert
    • Installs in under 1 hour with basic hand tools
    • Euro 5+ Options

      • Beginning in 2024, Euro 5+ emissions restrictions require all European-delivered bikes to run twin O2 sensors in the exhaust. This change is being gradually rolled out to the rest of the world beginning in 2025 (excl. most US States). Most XSR700s delivered to Australia and the US are still running a single sensor. To see if your bike requires a secondary sensor, please check the reference image below to see if your bike matches. If there is no Euro 5+ sensor, please order the standard system.

    Tuning Guidance

This system runs perfectly on the stock ECU with the included standard baffle. ECU tuning is only recommended if running no baffle and combining the system with aftermarket high-flow filters or airbox mods.

    Why Choose Us

    • Significant weight reduction over stock (up to 4.8kg saved)
    • Full 304 stainless construction, hand TIG-welded with clean serviceable joins
    • A balanced exhaust note that brings the CP2 engine to life without excessive volume
